Texas Woman Accused of Killing, Dismembering Boyfriend Amid Shocking Abuse Allegations

A gruesome homicide investigation has stunned the community of San Angelo, Texas, after a 31-year-old woman was charged with the murder of her boyfriend in a case involving allegations of dismemberment, discarded remains, and an investigation into possible child abuse.

Authorities say Audrey Troncoso, 31, was arrested on June 24, 2026, in connection with the death of her 34-year-old boyfriend, Roland Matthew Sheppard. Prosecutors allege that Sheppard was shot in the face, stabbed multiple times, and later dismembered using knives and a saw.

Investigators further allege that Troncoso, with the assistance of her father, Mario Valdes Troncoso Jr., attempted to dispose of the victim’s remains. According to court documents, portions of Sheppard’s body were allegedly discarded in a dumpster, while other remains were reportedly placed in concrete in an apparent effort to conceal evidence.

A Complex Investigation
The investigation has drawn widespread attention following local media reports claiming Sheppard had allegedly been caught sexually abusing Troncoso’s young daughter before his death. However, police have not confirmed those reports as the motive for the killing.

San Angelo Police Chief Travis Griffith stated that investigators are continuing to determine exactly what led to the fatal confrontation, emphasizing that the motive remains under active investigation.

Authorities have not announced any criminal charges against Sheppard related to the abuse allegations, and those claims have not been established in court.

Charges Filed
Troncoso is currently being held in the Tom Green County Jail on a $2 million bond after being charged with murder.

Her father, Mario Valdes Troncoso Jr., faces tampering with evidence charges for his alleged role in disposing of the remains. He was released after posting a $100,000 bond.

Community Left Searching for Answers
The disturbing allegations have left many residents shocked as investigators continue processing forensic evidence and interviewing witnesses.

Officials say additional details could emerge as the case moves through the courts, and they urge the public to avoid drawing conclusions about the alleged motive until the investigation is complete.

As the legal process unfolds, prosecutors must prove the allegations beyond a reasonable doubt, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until convicted in court.
